Replacing Missing Teeth

Implants vs. Bridges

Missing teeth can affect your confidence, bite function, and long-term oral health. We offer two proven solutions: dental implants and dental bridges. Both can restore the look, feel, and function of natural teeth.

Comparison

Dental Implants vs. Dental Bridges

OPTION 1

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the closest replacement to a natural tooth.

Dental Implants

Treatment timeline

  • Typically takes 4 to 9 months, depending on your bone structure

  • Longer timelines are required when bone grafting is needed

Advantages of implants:

  • Do not impact neighboring teeth

  • Long-term maintenance is similar to natural teeth

  • Aesthetic and functional replacement that integrates with your jawbone

Some patients find they need to floss around implants more frequently for best hygiene. In select cases, we can place a temporary crown on the implant early in the process for aesthetic reasons. If the implant isn’t ready to support a crown yet, we may provide a removable partial denture as a temporary option.

We do not recommend long-term use of partials due to risks of:

  • Tooth decay
  • Gum and bone loss
  • Increased mobility of nearby teeth

OPTION 2

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are a great solution when you need faster treatment.

Dental Bridges

Treatment timeline

  • Usually completed in under 1 month

  • A temporary bridge is often placed immediately

Perfect for patients who

  • Patients who want to whiten teeth quickly for an event

  • Those who prefer a more supervised process

  • Anyone who cannot commit to 10–14 days of at-home bleaching

Implant Case Study 1

Real Patient Cases

Implant Case Study

A patient lost a front tooth during a soccer match and cracked the root. We performed root removal, implant placement, and bone grafting in one appointment to preserve his gum line. Matching a single front tooth to its neighbors is extremely challenging. This case required multiple custom shades to ensure a seamless, natural appearance.
